role Purchasing Manager in Pontian for Heavy Machinery Company
Your new company
Specializing in heavy machining and fabrication for the oil and gas industry, this is an engineering and manufacturing company. They stand out among others with their dedicated team, advanced machinery and efficient business processes to serve and support various clients. Based in Pontian, Johor, they are now looking for an experienced Director of purchases to take on leading roles and make key business decisions.
Your new role
You report to the general manager and two team leaders report to you. As purchasing manager, you plan to develop and achieve strategic procurement plans to support the operational team. You will also be required to manage and coordinate the procurement activity related to direct and indirect purchases. The implementation of the cost reduction strategies will be a key responsibility of a job. Have excellent management skills, strong interpersonal skills and a successful experience in cost reduction programs contribute greatly to the role.
What you need to succeed
You will need relevant experience in similar industry along at least 8 to 10 years of work experience. You will also need to have experience in leading a team of supply in a previous role.
